Tesla owners beware – the in-car navigation shows the wrong location. Enter via the new Chiba City Hall entrance and follow the signs to the EV chargers. There are 3 chargers and 6 parking spaces. The car park is new and clean, and the chargers are well-maintained.

On arrival, go inside City Hall and fill in a short form with your start time, car details, and reason for stopping (for example, “visiting Mizuho Bank” or “City Hall business”).

These are 50 kW fast chargers. From August 2025, parking is free for only 30 minutes. Start charging immediately and aim to stop at around 25 minutes so you can leave within the free time. Even 31 minutes will cost 300 yen.
